Imagine if you will an alternate history scenario where Laura Bush was running for President, was under investigation for misuse of secret government documents, and George Bush met with a current Republican U.S. Attorney General. Think the MSM might find it newsworthy? Think they’d be screaming bloody murder?
There’d be a House Select Committee set up to investigation. It would be the lead story on the news for the foreseeable future. Bill Kristol and George Will would be calling for Laura to resign the nomination. It would be a national crisis.
