I hope you and Fredd are OK. I know you’re worried more about Fredd than yourself. He’ll mend, dogs are tough. He will be skittish for a while around other dogs, perhaps. He’s lucky he didn’t suffer much more serious injuries with that many dogs involved. Best start carrying a bit of mace or something with you.

Dogs an be strange.

Odin once liked other dogs.

At a vet’s office, an idiot with a red Golden Retriever sat right down next to us, despite the ample space elsewhere and his uncontrolled dog leaped across my husband, directly at me.

Naturally, Odin met him in mid-air and the moron [obviously a lib, based on clothes and wimpiness] then reeled his dog in.

From that day, Odin hated red, long haired dogs.
Then all long haired dogs.
Then any dog remotely resembling that dog.
As time passed, he apparently said “Screw it, play it safe” and hated all other dogs.

A Dobe owner friend, who spent thousands of dollars on her dog’s training as a service dog, had it all ruined when an unleashed dog attacked her dog in a park.

He became terrified of other dogs, often to the point of fear-aggression.

She had to start over.

He’s able to work now, at his job but 5 years of his working life was wasted, because of someone who did not control their own dog.
