Never said the Catholic Church was alone. In fact I think it has become a problem within a large swath of Christian based faiths, especially in western societies.
I don't remember the writer; but it was at Tradition in Action.
I was simply wondering if combating a sin one used to be guilty of is not reparation and an appropriate response in itself.
I don’t regard as legitimate any organization that doesn’t state who they are on their own web page. Apparently, they deny being sedevacantist, but they attack ChurchMilitant from the reactionary-right side, not from the left. Beyond that, I have no idea. Even their 990 says nothing. They have no board, no clergy, and their treasurer and president are married, but claim a very modest income out of a very modest budget. Looks like the old fashioned “a nut and a fax machine” operation, but I don’t know how nutty is nutty.
Yes, they are extremely reactionary right (though unlike some reactionary right Catholics they actually prefer capitalism to distributism and criticize Franco as a national socialist rather than a Catholic, so they are unique in that way). They are a break-away from that Plinio guy's Tradition, Family, Property movement that regards the mainstream TFP as sell-outs.
Aside from their surprising capitalism/anti-fascism, their primary distinctive seems to be that Europe is the special, chosen chrstian "heartland" and the European nations are the ethnic chrstian "Israel." They regard the medieval "organic society" as not only a utopia, but apparently believe every factor of medieval life was personally taught by J*sus to the disciples at some point. The goal of to Catholicism is pretty much to create medieval European society. What they make of the three hundred years in the catacombs they don't say.
They're certainly interesting.
Apostle, "dial m for murder" Paul. St Augustine the libertine, Constantine, I remember Voris even bringing up a convent made up of reformed prostitutes founded by a courtesean as well. Look at where all these people had been.
And then there's those of us. Some of us have got skeletons deep down in the rug but Jesus has wiped the slate clean so worry not!
Catholic Answers experts are modernist that love Vatican 2 and whoever the pope is can do no wrong,
