Fundamentalism suggests a specialist knowledge, an alleged core connection to secret core principles, be it Islam, Applied Electronics, or how to do ghetto hairweaves without getting robbed, raped, killed, etc.
I agree with you that the stupid misdirection of meaningless terms not taken seriously by government should be called attention to and roundly mocked.
