I will admit, I have taken off my rose colored glasses.

I’ve lived in a socialist cesspool for 55 years.

I’ve seen how difficult it is for a 50+ year old white man with great credentials to get a job.

I’ve seen the city that I grew up in and loved, destroyed by illegal immigrants, the loss of industrialization, and its reliance on the nanny state.

A lifetime of experiences has shown me that it is good to be an optimist. But it is also essential to be pragmatic.

If we are both as you described, we both would walk into a tree. I like to think that I can look around myself and see what is going on.
