But, as you yourself say at the top of the article, there is little we non-Muslims can do to help them win out. They have to do it for themselves.

While I applaud these moderates, they seem rare to me, or at least not influential enough. I like the idea of separation. Let them work it out, but not in our midst.

Presently, moderate Muslims are opposed by CAIR and other well funded Islamist groups which Obama supports and relies on for "outreach" to Muslims as part of the "countering violent extremism" effort. Their "outreach" has nothing to do with moderating Islam; quite the reverse. It is about keeping moderate Muslim ideas away from the "safe spaces" of "radical" (mainstream) Muslims. Perhaps, as suggested in the article, our next president will change that (he should and perhaps Trump will) by casting off CAIR, et al and replacing them with moderate Muslim groups such as Dr. Jasser's.

I like the idea of separation. Let them work it out, but not in our midst.

They are already in our midst, and more are coming. They are not going to work things out in Europe, most of which is already Islamised. Those who are in America will have to work it out in America, hopefully with a bit of encouragement from our next president.
