Let’s be clear. You can indeed harvest energy (extremely small amounts of energy) from the air. Crystal radios have done this for over 100 years. But what this kid is showing is pure BS.

His LED light strips require power on the order of several watts, and it is impossible to scavenge that amount of energy, or anywhere close to it without a nearfield source, such as a large induction coil that he cleverly does not show in his video, or a 50,000 watt AM broadcast transmitter across the street.

Put his $14 piece of crap in a controlled environment away from whatever flimflam source he is using and it will be clear.

On a positive note, he is in the running to be the next Glenn Beck.
