Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus on Saturday praised presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying that his candidacy has turned the country upside down.
I like what Donald has done, he said in an interview with CBSs Sunday Morning. Hes turning America upside down, hes awakening the country. We need a lot of that, he added.
Nicklaus said that Trumps not stupid and that he will eventually learn to be more polished like other politicians.
I like the guy. Hes a good man and if hes the one thats on the ticket, Ill be voting for him, he said.
In my book, that’s a solid-gold endorsement.
I’m lovin’ it!
Jack Nicklaus has made his millions, and is well thought of by everybody. He doesn’t have to be afraid of the progressives boycotting anything or trying to make problems.
Who has Arnold Palmer endorsed ?
In other news, Jack will NEVER be allowed on ESPN.
In still other news - Nicklaus, still the best golfer ever by a long way. And a super classy guy. If you thought last week was a panic just wait its just going to get better and better
Honestly, its amazing how quickly these people about ready to be irrelevant
Time to buy options people!
The man is, as you say, the best golfer ever by a long shot.
I admit that I never loved Jack as much as most. I always rooted for Tom Watson in their glory days. But still, who couldn't help but admire him?
He is a man of principal and integrity, and while this seems like throw-away celebrity endorsement, it will carry weight with a fairly large segment of the population.
And the Golf Channel is owned by NBC...
Mr. Trump certainly has my rapt attention, night and day!!!
Without him, I doubt I would be paying any attention whatsoever to this campaign!!!
Unity, brother. Unity.
So glad Jack’s record is safe from Tiger.
My dad used to produce golf exhibitions in the 70s and we’ve met Jack numerous times... even carried his famous green bag at his hotel. He has always been extraordinarily smart and button down! One time, he let me see the inside of his small, private jet. I was expecting to see luxury - but instead, it was just a huge locker room with more golf shoes than I count!
DITTO
Cheered my heart out watching that 1986 Masters when Jack fired a final nine of 30 to win by one shot and be the oldest to ever win the Masters at 46. Still have an old VHS of the back nine.
Has Tiger Woods announced his endorsement yet?
Jack is not only a great golfer but also a very wise man as well.
ESPN is still reeling from Tiger’ Woods flameout on the tour...
I certainly hope not.
