Sure - have a Gay Awareness Day.
Just make people aware of the US Gov’t/CDC’s own stats:
- Homosexuals are 50% more likely to have depression
- are 200% more likely to commit suicide than typical population
- Gay men’s life span is approx. 22 years less than straight men
- 15% of gay men have had 500-1000 partners
- the 1.7% of population that identified to CDC as being gay account for 61% of all HIV infections.
- the incidence of gay domestic violence is over double straight couples
YES - they should indeed have an awareness day.
Or even milder problems... but that ain’t the sort of awareness they have in mind.
A Roman Catholic school too. Anything that calls itself Christian ought at the least to be saying “this is sin, don’t do it, we’ll do all we can to help you find a better way.”
