For about the umteenth time, I don’t give a rip about who individuals vote for. But if you think you’re going to have as free hand on FR to piss on our FReepers or on our nominee, then you’re not thinking straight. I just pointed out you used the wrong term to describe Cruz. He is not a statesman (a diplomat). Cruz is an advocate - but he failed in his goals. Failure counts. We don’t get participation trophies - sadly his gambit shutting down the govt seems to have been for show because it accomplished nothing - I would have loved for it to work but it did not. That you have a poor command of English is not my problem but I thank you for your service to our country. Trump will do well by vets like you.
Trump is famous for making deals. He has written the definitive book on the subject, but more importantly, he has built a multi-billion dollar real estate empire by means of his deal making prowess. He didn’t do this shuffling money, underselling options, crashing other peoples’ accounts. He did it the hard way in recognizing valuable properties, developing them, and then nurturing them to produce.
THAT background says that we should give him a chance to make deals.
It is entirely possible that he could have bargained on those funding bills and deadlines and come up with something that others couldn’t.
I’m willing to give him a chance to try.
In my mind, he CANNOT possibly do worse than our current crop of republicans who went BACKWARD. They weren’t even able to stay even.
