Daniel Greenfield Ping List Notification of new articles.
I am posting Greenfield's articles from FrontPage and the Sultan Knish blog. FReepmail or drop me a comment to get on or off the Greenfield ping list.
I recommend an occasional look at the Sultan Knish blog. It is a rich source of materials, links and more from one of the preeminent writers of our age.
FrontPage is a basic resource for conservative thought. Lou

I never cease to be amazed at the sheer talent that Dan Greenfield has, and demonstrates every time he writes a piece for Sultan Knish. He is truly a gift from G-d, and anyone who loves Israel and/or Justice needs to read him on a regular basis.
Greenfield is right about the dust, in every way. Those who lived in the past - wherever and whenever they lived - are all dust now (except the very recently departed). They are part of the dirt that we walk on (or drive over, with a thin layer of concrete or asphalt between us), part of our food, part of the very air we breathe. Their physicality can never be eliminated, though it is obviously changed - but they were so much MORE than mere physicality, they were ideas, they were passion, they were love, hate, greed, envy, selfless sacrifice for others...in short, they were as human as us, and had every emotion and experience, just like us. Our only crime is to forget them and the lessons that they passed on to us, directly or indirectly.
Being involved in the tracing of my family tree for the last nearly 23 years, I have some sense of what my ancestors went through, at least in broad sweeps. My ancestors - the ones that I know of for certain - are buried in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and this country. I not only try not to forget, but to make a point of remembering and passing on that information as best I can.
Greenfield, however, does a great job in trying to prevent us from forgetting. He touches many tens of thousands (if not more) on a weekly basis...and I hope that he continues this for many decades to come.
