Grants of immunity almost universally involve a proffer, where negotiation where there is an agreement regarding prosecution vs. information promised. In this case it was the immunity from prosecution for some specific information regarding the case. To grant immunity and then not seek charges on another person is very rare.

The IT guy has been testifying for weeks now. He also has handed over documents.
