Hello Everybody, I don't usually Rant, but I needed to say my piece and ask advice.
I have been listening to Talk Radio, reading on the internet, and reading views of others on FR, and wanted to share my confusion with you all.
I am a Trump supporter, but this is not about who you support if your a Republican. We are all beyond that at this point.
What I have been reading and hearing, are our Elected Representatives combined reactions to the people of this Nation selecting a Republican Candidate for POTUS.
It was a clear mandate, and will continue to be evidenced with continuing primaries that Donald Trump, for good or bad, is the Winner.
I will point out that theoretically it is of no consequence who won. Only that there was a winner.
Now, our elected representative are defying the electorate by not immediately supporting OUR candidate, whom we have made a clear mandate, and their only job is to ralley behind him, and do everything in their power to help him win the General Election.
I don't care if they like him or not. He is a Republican, and we need to win against Hildabeast or Bernie Sanders.
To NOT do this is tantamount to Treason IMO to the goals of the Republican Party.
I am not sure if there is a way to tell all our representatives to "get on the stick", and do their jobs, and represent the will of the people, or they are going to be replaced. I have already written e-mails, and phone called to my representatives.
I for one will be ticked beyond belief if they try to bring in a GOPe favorite in spite of the will of the people.
What say you?
I would agree to that!!! Every 4 years, 2 terms and every body is new!!!
Trump wasn’t my first choice but the GOPe is the next biggest enemy. I will back Trump and pray he doesn’t turn Castro on us.
I am a Cruz supporter who will be voting for Trump in November.
Of the GOP field there were several (Walker, Cruz, Jindal, Gilmore, maybe even Rubio or Kasich) that I would have preferred to Trump. Throw your RINO tomatoes at me now. None of my preferred candidates won. Trump has won. With no opposition in the remaining primaries, he will likely get 1400-1500 votes on the first ballot.
The choice now is between Trump and Clinton.
Anyone voting for a third party candidate is simply throwing away their vote. Refusing to take a stand between two imperfect candidates when the stakes are so great is an act of narcissism and selfishness.
The choice is now between Trump and Clinton. And that choice is plain.
Trump sometimes says mean things, but Clinton has allied herself with people organizations that turn over police cars and throw rocks to keep others from speaking at all.
I don’t like Trumps inconsistency on some issues, but he could walk around with a coin in his pocket and flip it for every decision, and still make the correct decision 50% more often than Clinton.
I don’t for a moment doubt that Trump loves this country. I have very little confidence that Hillary, who served as Secretary of State while taking tens of millions of dollars from foreign dictators, loves this country.
Trump, whatever advantages he started from, increased his fortune through private enterprise. Clinton has made her living for her entire adult life from the public coffers.
Trump, despite his enormous ego, treats his employees well. Clinton, in private, curses the secret service agents and soldiers that serve and protect her.
In a crises, I firmly believe that Trump will stand with Israel. I am highly doubtful that Hillary Clinton, who tried her best to turn Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood, can be counted on to support Israel.
Trump at least says he’s against abortion. Hillary wants to make it safe, legal and frequent.
Trump at least says he supports the second ammendment. We know Hillary doesn’t.
Trump at least offers hope of rolling back job killing regulations. Hillary promises that she will destroy coal jobs and the coal industry.
Trump, for all his personal failings, I not a criminal. Hillary is, though though indictments will never come as long as her allies hold the reigns of power.
And Trump, alone of all candidates, hit on two issues that no one else dared to raise: immigration and trade. Both have struck a deep chord with the voting public, that I never would have anticipated. But both may be crucial for the long term preservation of representative government.
Mr. Trump is an imperfect candidate. He has an uphill fight. If he wins, I expect to be disappointed by his decisions sometimes. But he is our only choice now.
Then vote for Hillary. We aren’t going to hold any hands and we aren’t going to forget. We will ask all of the Cruz supporters to vote for Trump and the supporters of any other candidates to put their big boy pants on and that’s it. (Not calling for Cruz supporters to put on the big boys just the rest.)
Here is what you are needing to overcome: You say “our” choosing. It was not “their” choosing. Continuing to name call and piss them off is NOT going to work in your favor.
Have grace, give grace. Use arguments that attract rather than criticism the repels. Oh and not voting for my candidate means you are voting for the other guy ... is just weak. Show how your candidate is the better choice with positive points.
I will caution you that most conservatives look at Trump’s history and dont like what they see. They see far too much liberal and not enough conservative. THAT is the perception you need to change.
See 65
I can find fifty different quotes. Trump certainly said he would support any nominee in a fair primary, period.
The way I look at it, Trump’s position on immigration alone makes him a better choice than Hillary. Of course, every day he drops a new bomb, so who knows what’s next? I found myself questioning his sanity after he tried to link Cruz’s father to Lee Harvey Oswald. But after I heard him explain himself to Brett a moment ago, I’m satisfied it’s just his temper getting the best of him... again.
I admit there have been times recently where, in my innermost personal thoughts, I skirted with the concept of rooting for the most liberal candidates, all of them, to win, and apply grease to the skids so we could get this downward fall over with. Only that way, I thought, could the rebuilding begin.
But then I feared this,,,, how many would get soaked into the liberal agenda and accept the "easy life".
Hell NO, let them serve then get real jobs like the rest of us real folks.
As a Trump supporter, I plead with you all to hold your nose or whatever you need to do, but please support him.
He’s not a perfect conservative but he is very conservative on the most important issues that determine if America lives on, or dies on our watch.
There are stories and interviews going back decades showing his patriotism, support of vets and his desire to see America put first in consideration on foreign policy, trade etc. That is good enough for me.
California golf course flag fight

Florida resort flag fight:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/2006/11/02/donald-trump-flag-fight.html
DONALD TRUMP, TRUMP ORGANIZATION CHAIRMAN & CEO: Well, I put up an American flag, John, on the front of the Mar-a-Lago Club, which is a great house, probably the greatest house in America that I turned into a private club very successfully in Palm Beach, Florida. And the flag is very proudly waving, and the town wants me to take it down.
GIBSON: Because?
TRUMP: Because they say I put it up without a permit and, frankly, had I gone to the town for a permit they wouldn’t have given it to me, probably. But more importantly, I say that you don’t need a permit to put up the American flag.
For every anti-Trump screed they went on, I found myself almost constantly yelling at my radio:
SO, YOU THINK HILLARY WILL BE BETTER?????? THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE ADVOCATING NOW!!!!!
Then, I listened to the Republicans that have come out today (en masse), and the best response we get is "Well, Trump's the nominee, but we're not really gonna get behind him."
Again, I ask: Is Hillary better? Because that's what you're standing for now.
Except the first debate... When he said it would have to be someone he respected.
The republican party is a private entity. They are under ZERO obligation to do what republican rank and file desire.
Not when they're the beneficiaries of judgements like the one that allowed Lautenberg to replace Torricelli in the NJ senatorial race several years ago.
That "private" nonsense is as abused as the "baseball exemption." Probably worse!
Go Trump, look at the last three numbnuts that were nominated by ‘our side’.
Trump will do fine, as long as he offers up a true and honest contrast to the leftist tyrant that the dems put up.
Time for a new bumper sticker on the truck I guess!
As Convention then Election comes all this will be called the pause before the storm. I feel the storm will be fast and furious, but more it will last. Once you give a voter the ability to say my vote counted more will charge forward. The Day has come, be patient and remember we have been in a blitz of Daily jabs of nominee’s .Now wait for the final stanza.
I never did accept Mitt last time. Just cant stand him but did hold my nose and voted for him over Obama.
