This is good news, but what of Cruz and his campaign overall. Reports suggest, earlier thread that was pulled (anyone know why?), that Cruz is continuing his stealth campaign to acquire delegates to make mischief at the convention. I would really like to hear that he is really suspending his campaign. Stopping all of these activities. Quit would be best.

I would not put ANYTHING past Cruz. And the suggestions that some here have advanced that he be given a senior position in the Trump Administration or a SCOTUS nomination, are cause for serious reflecton. I think Trump is way too smart to put ANY trust in Cruz at the outset. Let him show the world by his actions that he’s a quality Senator who works effectively with the new administration as a first step. Trump doesn’t need to have anyone whom he has to watch over his shoulder.
For example, Cruz could bolster his national standing through a prime time speech to the convention. Having a large bloc of loyal delegates puts Cruz in the position to demand such a concession from the Trump camp. Otherwise, Cruz will be lucky to be able to finagle a five minute appearance in the second hour of Fox and Friends.
