For the longest time I couldn’t figure out why Rush spent so much time building up Trump. Day after day. Three hours a day. No analysis of Trump’s lack of conservative bona fides. I was baffled — and also stopped listening to Rush daily. And then the National Review fills a whole issue with anti-Trump screeds. I kept asking myself, why now? Why not six months ago when Trump could have been stopped? Now I understand. That means a person I’ve trusted — namely Rush — has been deceptive. Oh well. We’re all fallen, I guess. Put no faith in kings or princes, or even horses (or horse’s asses), for that matter. Meanwhile, the more I watch Trump, the more I like him.

Well, I get tired of hearing that “X didn’t stop Trump” or “y didn’t stop Trump.” In this election year Trump may be unstoppable. He has a role in this too. He has run a pretty much flawless and incredibly frugal campaign.
