Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has hired a Russian adviser with ties to a former Eastern Bloc oligarch and Russian intelligence infiltrated energy company, Gazprom.
The hire in question is a globe-trotting 44 year-old American investment banker Carter Page, who has built a career on deals with Russia and its state-run gas company.
Pages resume includes a stint in the U.S. Naval Academy, working in arms control at the Pentagon and a fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Over his career, hes earned three graduate degrees, including a PhD from SOAS University of London.
In 2000, Page moved into investment banking, getting a job at Merrill Lynchs capital-markets group in London. After impressing a colleague with his relationship with Victor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian billionaire, Page was sent to help open the firms Moscow office in 2004.
Between 2009 and 2013, including when Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, according to that foundation, which is based in Kiev, Ukraine. It was created by Mr. Pinchuk, whose fortune stems from a pipe-making company.
***snip***
Pages background at the Council on Foreign Relations and the Pentagons arms control would have made him a prime target for Russian intelligence recruitment or influence. The fact that Carter Page has been so close to KGB/FSB connected Gazprom should be very concerning to U.S. intelligence agencies.
Pages urging of closer ties to Russia and the easing of sanctions is completely in accord with Russian foreign policy goals.
Given Donald Trumps recent talk of downgrading U.S. commitment to NATO, another long time Russian goal, it is not surprising that Carter Page now has the ear of the leading Republican presidential contender.
Not surprising
but extremely disturbing to say the least.

Don't know if these are allowed anymore but since being a member of the Counsel on Foreign Relations is an unforgivable offense, I thought it should at least be recognized.
Source is a blog and article has source links. I thought I would find out about him.
Carter's Bio from "Global Policy" where he contributes via blog.
"Carter W. Page is Founder and Managing Partner of Global Energy Capital LLC, a New York-based financial institution and investment fund focused on energy investments in developing markets. He is the former Chief Operating Officer of the Energy & Power Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch and Deputy Branch Manager of the representative office in Moscow.
Carter is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he was previously an International Affairs Fellow and Co-Director of the Councils study group on Caspian Sea energy development. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Center for Global Affairs at New York University and a Fellow at the Center for National Policy in Washington.
Carter is a Distinguished Graduate of the US Naval Academy where he was a Trident Scholar. He holds an MBA from New York Universitys Stern School of Business and a PhD from the University of Londons School of Oriental and African Studies."

The Center for National Policy was new to me and so I tried their website first. They are in the process of an organizational change?
"We're excited to bring you the new Truman Center (formerly CNP) site very soon. In the meantime, keep up with us on Twitter @TrumanCenter and @TrumanProject."
The CNP had/has a facebook page which is now the Truman Project facebook page. CNP is in their web address and the link to the website on that FB page is still cpnonline.org
https://www.facebook.com/cnponline
The Truman Project shares posts from the Truman National Security Project. One such post was a quote from Truman in image form.
At a lib source watch site it states:
CNP is governed by an active and distinguished Board of Directors. Leon E. Panetta - former congressman, Office of Management and Budget director and White House chief of staff, who now leads the Panetta Institute for Public Policy - assumed chairmanship of the CNP Board of Directors in January 2000. CNP Board members represent a broad mix from the business, labor, non-profit and foundation sectors. Maureen S. Steinbruner succeeded Madeleine K. Albright as President of CNP in 1993. CNP operates with a small core staff and works with its national and adjunct fellows, policy associates, the private sector, labor and nonprofit organizations and academia to carry out its projects.
In an article at the Global Policy site he writes:
The Global Implications of Partisanship in U.S. Foreign Policy and Alternative Frameworks for the Future
Carter Page - 21st July 2014
"Without broader political participation from a more diverse group of constituencies worldwide, Iraq War III or Libya War II or _____ War I (I.e. some other new adventure they jointly cook up) might not be too far off. Potential constituencies and eventual beneficiaries include not just Republicans and Democrats in the U.S., but also citizens and leaders of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and beyond. A more interactive framework for future global engagement across a diverse array of external powers worldwide could serve the interests of all parties."
Personally I think it's all about money not control, yet. There will have to be a single person at the head of the New World Order who will be able to get everyone on board and submit their governments and that will be the anti-Christ. We aren't there yet but for those worried about globalism keep an eye on the Truman National Security Project and the Truman Center for National Policy.
So, is DT a globalist?
He hires the best people for the job.
Ooops.
I have to read these, too, so I’ll get back when I can...I just need to save them.

Trump Adviser Compared U.S.-Russia Policy to Slavery, Police Shootings

Extremely-disturbing-to-say-the-least-before-it's-too-late BUMP
Russia is no longer our enemy. Period.
Of Course Donald J. Trump is a Globalist! He has properties all over the world. In fact the Sun actually does not set on the Trump Organization!
That being said, Donald J. Trump puts America First, and that is scaring the Beelzebub out of the authoritarian globalists. :-)
“Russia is no longer our enemy. Period.”
Incorrect. If you had an unhinged enemy who had sworn over and over again to kill you, and had previously attacked your family.
And someone else came along, knowing this history, and nevertheless began supplying your enemy with firearms and training how to use them.
you would understand that arming and training your enemy was a very hostile act.
what is true of people is also true of nations - in this case Iran and Russia.
If you want to learn more about Leon Panetta, go to Trevor Loudon’s website www.keywiki.org and search under his name.
Lots of information there you won’t find anywhere else and from the papers of a Communist Party USA member and one-time member of the House of Representatives, Hugh DeLacy. One of Panetta’s best friends.
Panetta is a split personality. On some things he was good re defense and intelligence, but on others, he was weak and easily influenced by the hardcore Left.
Madelaine Halfbright? Shirley you jest. She was one of the dumbest Secretary’s of State in modern American history, even beating out Warren Christopher but still not as dumb as John Kerry. (I worked on the book “Unfit for Command” about Kerry and have followed his leftist career since the early 70’s. He’s the worst Secy of State since Hillary Clinton and just as politically crooked)
I don’t know Carter Page but just because he was a graduate of the US Naval Academy doesn’t mean that he is necessarily a match for the KGB/FSB. They are the masters of infiltration and influencing. Unless you are trained to spot their operations, you can be a fine, patriot American and still end up doing work for them.
His ties to Gazprom (which is Putin) should open some eyes. Putin is nobody’s fool and is a KGB master operative.
I would question Trump’s choosing this man since there are many other foreign policy experts out there to consult. I know that he wants better ties with Russia but Russia is an aggressor in Europe and nothing can change that fact. Also, the head of the Russian Navy said that the majority of their nuclear sub missiles are aimed at the U.S. I don’t call that friendly.
The fact that Trump has John Bolton advising him is a good sign but Trump is an unknown factor. We will just have to wait and see if he can come through as a real leader, not just a big talker. Putin is not a big talker. He’s a big doer and that is what counts in the world today. Just ask the Resistance forces in Syria what that means.
bkmk
isnt hillary’s reason de etere that she “has travelled the world”... ACCOMLISHING NOTHING
isn’t Trump’s point that he will make GOOD DEALS FROM A POSiTION OF STRENGTH... instead of “tell vlad i will be more flexible in my second term..”
few realize that obama/clinton reignited the cold war.... for what end?
that’s right... the usa tried to engineer a coup in the ukraine taking out the russian puppet.. and biden’s son was participating in a gas deal...
Knowing the enemy is all part of intel and defusing a situation with mutual interests is also SMART. so for example obama could have created an alliance with russia to fight radical islam... but instead we are on opposite sides in syria...
obama, the peace prize winner, is doing exactly what the CFR/Neocons want him to do.. promote a war... Trump wants to avoid a confrontation not by drawing red lines but by negotiating from a position of strength... and getting the “allies” to carry their fair share. All agreed to spend minimum 2% of their GDP on military... none are doing it except the USA... why?
To focus on one individual is ridiculous. Look at Bluementhal and Hillary... makiing oil deals while the Ambassaador is being tortured, sodomized and murdered... calling on the head of the Libyian government ot intervene while not using USA forces beaucse it WOULD LOOK BAD AND MIGH TOFFEND LYBIA..?? really or was she focused on oil money and deals and negligent in ther SOS duties,,???
Trump will bring in MANY FOREIGN POLICY ADVISERS, real generals, real economic advisers and address the JOBS issue, the illegal / terrorist issues and the VET issue... He will stem the outflow of jobs and let America be America again as opposed to pushing it to communism, whcih is what the elites are doing globally...
look at europe.
IMHO Page looks like Putin. Could be his son. :) Also, Snowybear, from Massachusetts, is a newby. Probably a Russian hacker and posted, “Russia is no longer our enemy. Period.”
What planet is Massachusetts on?
oh, by the way for all those Cruz is a globalist because his wife was a member of the CFR, so was John Bolton.
Getting to feel like we ARE in Russia. Don’t know who to trust anymore.
for example obama could have created an alliance with russia to fight radical islam... but instead we are on opposite sides in syria...
That’s because the administration even had the ruskies fooled into believing communism was at the top of his list. It’s not, it’s Islam.
So what’s on DT’s short list?
1. DT
2. money
3. family
4. people that lend him money
5. country that makes him money.
