When a presidential candidate, having been as beaten as thoroughly as Bernie Sanders was by Hillary Clinton in the New York Primary eschews campaigning to return to his home state, he is usually signaling that he is about to suspend his campaign and bow out of the race. Team Bernie is vehemently denying that their guy is about to throw in the towel. However, the delegate math suggests that Sanders has no chance of gaining the Democratic nomination. Hillary Clinton has all be clinched the prize.

“All of Bernies supporters are not hardcore Marxists.
Yes they are hardcore Marxists.
Anyone denying this is a liberal or leftist who is so far from conservatism his compass is skewed.
You are left wing.
It’s ok.
Just admit it to yourself.
Yes. A lot don’t like her.
But some also think Sanders and Trump have the same economic vision.
No, you are delusional. Stop getting bitten in the Cruz and you’re mental health will return.
Nothing to do with Cruz.
I have even seen Trump people here say Sanders and a Trump want the same thing.
There’s an odd thing happening in that leftism is becoming more acceptable to groups that were formerly conservative.
It’s interesting. Trump’s popularity is it’s first manifestation on a large level.
And don’t get all defensive because you are the one saying Sanders voters could move to Trump.
Sanders prescriptions are leftist. There are certainly some blue collar old school Democrats who support him.
But, at the end of the day, if you are voting for leftist solutions, you are a leftist. Or wildly misinformed.
Example, you may want to help people, but a higher minimum wage doesn’t do that. Sincere intention, bad policies.
You assert that ALL Bernie's supporters are "hardcore Marxists."
I know three, personally, that are not.
You lose.
They do!
On exactly ONE topic.
The breaking up of the oligarchy.
The Bernie folks I talk to fall into three roughly equal groups:
1. Hippie/Libertarian types who support Bernie because it's cool and counter-culture to do so. Plus, they hope Bernie will legalize pot.
2. Working-class democrats who are tired of seeing their jobs slip away. These guys are Trump supporters. They just don't know it yet.
3. Marxists who see Bernie as the first step to a socialist utopia in the U.S.
I have close friends and relatives in the first two groups. I doubt if they are closet Marxists, hiding their true identities all these years, waiting for someone like Bernie to come along.
We all know Hillary isn’t going to end up wearing the latest in prison stripes. Hell, she won’t even stand before a judge, not in this world anyway. Bernie on the other could keel over tomorrow God willing.
Do really think Obama’s Justice Department is going to indict Hillary?
SOME of Bernie’s people want the same thing (which, BTW, St. Ted says he wants, too).
So, you are wrong (again). Trump will get some Bernie votes, maybe a lot.
“SOME of Bernies people want the same thing (which, BTW, St. Ted says he wants, too).”
What things?
And I never said Trump would not get Sanders votes. In fact I’ve pointed out for a long time how a Sanders people who hate Clinton often like Trump. I have a friend who us hardcore lefty. He always denies Clinton is leftist. He says she is center right. He says she is a liberal, not a leftist. He says there is a big difference between liberals and leftists. He likes Trump. Because of his economic rhetoric which are similar to Sanders.
Good thing is this friend is a resident, not a citizen (from UK) and can’t vote.
What I am seeing is what has been true in UK and Europe but not here. That the right or conservative faction is still quite socialist. They accept the nanny state, the dole, etc...this seems to be happening here with Trump being the first candidate to benefit from this trend.
It really is the leftist strategy being played out. They’ve always said, and written books like What’s the Matter with Kansas, that middle class and working, mainly white, Americans don’t vote their own interest. That they should support the more left view and candidates.
Trump seems to be a fulfillment of this strategy (Buchanan pioneered it).
I have acknowledged the overlap between Sanders supporters and potential Trump support and felt it says more about Trump as a big government socialist-like, anti-Capitalist candidate than the appeal of his more conservative issues.
Hillary's criminal activities are such she cannot plead down to a misdemeanor. Everyone is in uncharted history. From the evidence that's been made public she's guilty for violating several sections of the federal code. The racketeering has not been covered to any extent by the media. That's about to change.
Hillary went to a private server with the expectation no one would find and prove evidence of her corruption while SoS. Her joke about wiping the server turned out to be a joke on her.
Obama;s legacy is on track to be Hillary's corruption. Somehow all of that has to go away. It can't while she is alive and well. She can avoid the consequences by being alive and so sick she's unable to continue her run. Or she can die.
Those are the only two options that will prevent the bulk of her dishonesty from being made public in the very near future. If she stays in the race and the FBI releases the evidence to the public as they've threatened, Hillary will never hold another public office.
She's being tried in the court of public opinion. If you look at her approval rating, she's losing.
Anyone but Hillary??? If she wins the Democrat primary, Bernie supporters split the vote, the younger voters supporting Trump, because he’s not-Hillary??? Trump name recognition by 18-29 age voters???
Paid for by Hillary 2016.
The odds run out on dirt bags like her. She’ll get hers some day.
Also add in all the people in NY that couldn’t vote due to primary rules and things might get even more interesting. I am sure there are many just itching to vote against Hillary but couldn’t. I’ll bet some angry millennials might too just to stick it to the man... I mean Hillary. I could have been right the first time. Huma might know.
