There already is such a book. Several, as a matter of fact; by John Polkinghorne. Right now I’m reading, “Quantum Physics and Theology”. The sub-title is, “An Unexpected Kinship”. Of course there’s a kinship. YHWH created them both, along with everything else that exists. If your book would appeal more to a layman, which includes me; that would be a plus. The one I’m reading is a hard slog, because it was written by an Anglican Priest who is also a Theoretical Physicist, and written FOR Theologians and Physicists.

Not to ruffle feathers, but this is a somewhat narrow subject, so it wouldn't be remiss for me to point out that AFAIK the first book of this genre, if you include other faiths, would be The Tao of Physics, by Fritjof Capra. Perhaps physics will end up being theologically unifying to some degree across multiple faiths.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. I have the Polkinghorne book headed to my Kindle as I write.

Here is my “Bottom Line Up Front” as we used to say in Government PowerPoint. ;-)

During the Twentieth Century Anno Domini (AD) mathematicians proved that there are ordinary truths within relatively simple logical and numerical systems that cannot be proven within those systems. Physicists observed that there were fundamental limits to the precision of simultaneously measuring related physical quantities. The inescapable conclusion is that it is impossible for us to discover a Universal Theory of Everything (UToE) by observing and reasoning about the observed universe.

The only way that we, as human beings, can understand the universe, let alone our place in it, is to have the Creator of the Universe (CotU) tell us what we need to know. The premise of this document is that the CotU has given us what we need to know about His creation in the form of the Holy Scriptures of the Hebrews and the Christians. The fundamental plan is laid out in the Tanach (also known as (aka) the Old Testament), but this document contains some “mysteries”. The “mysteries” within the Tanach are revealed in the “Renewed Covenant” (aka New Testament) writings that make up the second part of the Christian Bible. The Renewed Covenant itself contains some things that are specifically not revealed, perhaps to remind us that we are incapable of knowing and understanding all things.

In a more mathematical sense, the Holy Scriptures are a projection (aka mapping) into our world of the CotU’s plan for the evolution of His creation from the beginning to the end. What is called “Bible Prophecy” does not come true because the CotU knows what is going to happen. “Bible Prophecy” comes true because it is a mapping from the actual plan (aka The Word) that makes things happen in the universe that we experience.

This work is directed to those who think of themselves as rational human beings who revere “Science,” but do not yet believe in the Holy Scriptures as a literal representation of the universe and our place in it. It is also designed as a comfort to those who do believe in the Holy Scriptures, but are constantly attacked as naive about science by those who do not.
