No one is forced to attend.

Yup, and that's the key, the school lets the kids do whatever they'd like for lunch. They could go home and play video games for an hour, or to a local church, or to McDonalds (if available).

I'll bet that next year, starting in the fall, the school lunch will be "upgraded" - read, a handful of Moochelle-approved foodstuffs will be added to the menu.

Oh, and by the way, all students are required to stay on campus for lunch now.

'Tis how bureaucrats work. When they don't like the way people play by the rules, they just change the rulebook.

Or, they just break the players' kneecaps....because the end justifies the means, always.

I suspect the crime is shortfall revenue from school sponsored lunches. School districts are like none other in making and wasting dollars.
