>> in reality the election is over and Trump has won it
Trump has about a third of the vote in the primaries.
Therefore two thirds of the vote says “no sale”.
Handing the nomination to trump out of “fairness” is delusional entitlement politics.
“Trump has about a third of the vote in the primaries.
Therefore two thirds of the vote says no sale.”
And Cruz has way less votes than Trump. So where is the ‘no sale’ tag really belong? I think Cruz.

If Trump does not get the totality of the conservative base on board, he’ll lose the election. The dream that his supporters have that he’ll make that up with Democrats and independents is a myth, They like to point out the myth of the “Reagan Democrats” but Reagan didn’t replace his base with independents and Democrats. Besides, the number of so called Reagan Democrats is much smaller today than in 1980. A Democrat like Carter would never even come close to winning the nomination in the Democratic Party today.
The one bright spot for Trump is Hillary also has serious issues with her base and the electorate as well
Romney went for independents and did better than BHO did with that group. But BHO did a better job at getting not only his base all on board but enthusiastic. A base, BTW, that, sadly is growing
Cruz has about 1/5th of the vote. So what. Worse then trump. And lower delegates to the point, Cruz isn’t even at the half way point of needed delegates.
