‘Born and raised in the South’ is shorthand for ‘I was born and raised in the South.’

Well, if y'all are going to refer to y'all in a sentence, y'all need to use an appropriate pronoun. The only pronoun y'all used, referred to me.

As far as I know...."All y'all" is Texan.

So when I wrote, “Doubt it was written by Southerners,’ you thought I was saying, ‘You doubt it was written by Southerners’??

Why would I write something so inane? I’m the one who doubts The Wiz was written by Southerners; you probably haven’t given it five minutes’ thought.
