Hows Joe Paterno? Are we going to bring “that” back? Right? How about that whole deal?
only an ignorant person on the subject(which I assume you were before you now know the facts) wouldn’t know instantly when he spoke of a “that” he was speaking of the possible return of the inanimate metal reproduction of the famous coach(ie. the statue) that has been under discussion by a lot of Penn State fans over the years about if and when they were going to bring it back if ever
even Penn State President Barron has mentioned it:
(Barron said there are still many people with entrenched opinions on the topic: That it should never have been taken down, that it should be returned but not until “we can really celebrate” or that it should never return “because of what they know.”)
so Trump was just shooting the shit with his people(when Penn State came into his mind,, he was in Pennsylvania) at a one hour unscripted rally of probably ten thousand people or more cheering him on.. this mention of the statue lasted all of a second and a half(significantly less than that of the Penn State President when he talked about it) and then he went on back to his primary points in his discussion
I mean really this is about as serious as Cruz talking stupid crap about Trump and gangsters
“I love Joe. Joe’s a great person. A great person, I tell you. Believe me. How is Joe anyway? Let’s bring him back and make Pennsylvania State again!”
-—cRuz clearly is a pervert. Ive seen it in TV characters, I know it.-—
Wait’ Ted Cruz is a pervert based on watching TV characters...?
Seriously? ...or was that a typo...?

The ‘Cult of Paterno’ heard from...again. I wonder how many college football ‘fans’ were secretly disappointed when ‘ol Joe didn’t rise from the dead after three days...
I wouldn’t make much out of this mistake. It makes those who do such exaggeration as seeking to aggrandize their own position by making another person look smaller.
Do you give the same advice to those spewing those laughable “Ted Cruz had affairs” smears, citing the National Enquirer, Gateway Pundit, Conservative Treehouse and Twitter?
I did not say that Trump was done, if you read my comments, I have repeatedly said that if I repeat if Penn State fans feel that Trump disrespected Paterno in any way shape or form he is done in PA. First the issue of the statue to many people in PA is important enough, that it deserves more than a five second comment. I think, that upon reflection of what he said the meaning is clear, but how many people actually take the time to think that way? To the uninitiated Trump legions, he makes reference to Paterno, and how unfairly he was treated, and then without making it absolutely clear that he had done so, changed the subject to the statue. Now the treatment of Paterno, and the statue are two separate but related issues.
I am pretty sure that is not the case.
But, a man his age under the stress he is putting on himself is going to be exhausted and that will impact his judgement. The whole process is brutal.
I am discussing what your guy really said in public. You are discussing rumors who hope are true...
He was probably trying to talk about the Paterno statue at Penn State that was recently removed.
I grew up in PA (south central) and never understood the near-idolization given to that man. I always thought he looked kind of creepy, could never figure out why. When it became clear he was at least complicent with Sandusky’s evil then I knew my instinct about the man was correct.
So you all can debate about whether Trump meant bringing “Joe Pa” back from the dead, or restoring his statue on campus, or even bringing his “spirit” back to PA it’s all irrelevant. The man was a jerk to cover for his assistant coach like he did. Period! He deserves no such adulation and respect!
Just goes to show to me again what character Trump has quite frankly.
Go ahead flame away, as you desperately try to justify your idolizations of either or both men.
I am discussing what Trump said in a public forum. I did not exaggerate anything, I posted his quote.
I wonder, does your apparent dislike of exaggeration cause you conflict while supporting a candidate who relishes his ability to use exaggeration?
It was an equivalent reply to an absurd post. Keep up.
Was that from last night’s town hall? Eeew. Such a tool.

Yeah, he was evidently talking about bringing back Joe Paterno’s tradition of winning.
But I can understand why such a simple locution would mystify those for whom analogy, synecdoche, or any other complex but common figure of speech is terra incognita.
Busted out the thesaurus to play mocking games I see...
Your skill at the English language would be put to better use coaching your candidate on it’s proper use rather than trying to pretend defending him is an act of sophistication.
I’m pretty much able to mock without looking anything up. Years of practice.
Don’t throw fat pitches over the plate and it won’t give me the opportunity.
