One of the strangest and most intriguing endorsements that Sen Ted Cruz has gotten for his run for the president was from his old Harvard Law professor, Alan Dershowitz. Professor Dershowitz proclaimed Cruz to be one of the most brilliant students he ever had while on The Kelly File. That is quite a compliment considering that Dershowitz is a down the line liberal, and Cruz is running as the most conservative candidate for president since Ronald Reagan.

opps. Did not know about the scam.
well bye
There is also a sellable point to those in the GOPe who hate him: "Vote yes and he is out of our hair forever."
What a strange election season. Cruzers now counting Derahowitz’s kind words as proof of Ted’s creds.
Always classy
I thought Dershowitz was in the tank for Hillary. I guess not, unless this is a bargaining maneuver to get her attention.
Don’t let them get you down. Thank you for your service!
Hasn’t Dershowitz similarly praised Elizabeth Warren?
Rhetorical question. He has.
Cruz constantly SAYS he's a conservative, but the facts prove him to be a liar. Dershowitz is hardly the only liberal who is pushing Cruz at the expense of Trump. Every liberal rag in the country is doing that.
I have not seen any evidence that Harvard Law School is teaching the federal governments constitutionally limited powers and associated limited power to appropriate taxes as the Founding Statutes had intended for those powers to be understood.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. ... United States v. Butler, 1936.
“A prominent aide to George W. Bush’s 2000 campaign could barely contain himself when we asked him to discuss Cruz, who worked in the campaign’s policy shop. This person described Cruz as hyper-arrogant and widely despised, and he emphasizedover and overthat the pervasive dislike of Cruz within the Bush ranks had nothing to do with ideology. (Cruz, he noted, never objected to Bush’s call for compassionate conservatism, immigration reform, and national education standards, and no one on the campaign regarded him as an ideologue.) The problem was simple: his personality.”
“That’s exactly what he was: a big a$$hole,” says a campaign veteran who worked with Cruz.
“Ted thought he was an expert on everything,” says this campaign veteran, who asked not to be named. “He was a smart and talented guy, but completely taken with himself and his own ideas. He would offer up opinions on everything, even matters outside his portfolio. He was a policy guy, but he would push his ideas on campaign strategy. He would send memos on everything to everyone. He would come to meetings where he wasn’t invitedand wasn’t wanted.” In fact, this Bush alum recalls, “the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldn’t go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. That’s exactly what he was: a big a$$hole.” by Tim Murphy & David Korn -MJ
Obama is SO intelligent he is scary.
Cruz is SO intelligent he is creepy.
Just what we need, eh?
Great mind...great senator but something has happened to this guy in the last year or so. He isnt the same person. I would vote for him if he is the nom but he wont be so problem solved. The continuing effect of Cruz’s actions isnt known yet but my prediction is he will not fare well in the future.
Thanks...I’m weary of looking at these cool aid drinkers. It is my honor to serve. Semper Fidelis!
And that is the problem. I’ve thought he speaks as if he truly loves the sound of his voice.
IS this the same professor that said Cruz is not a Natural Born citizen?
Cheating helps
Thin skinned are you?
I believe you are.
I thought you were out of here with no opus?
That was Larry Tribe.
