“This is false and the rest of it is mindless drivel.”
Eleanor nee Darragh Wilson lived in London with her first Husband, Alan Wilson. She spent about eight years living in London, England. She abandoned her husband with not notice and no indication of where she went or why she abandoned him. He finally had to divorce her in England for abandonment of her marriage. She gave birth to a child conceived by another man in London and named the child Michael Wilson. The child soon died and was buried in a Kensington cemetery. It is unknown whether or not she married her British lover and acquired status as a British subject. Short of money and without employment in England she returned to her family in the United States. She met Rafael Cruz at work and began a relationship with him, despite the fact he was already a married man with two daughters. They schemed together to move to Canada together, where he married Eleanor and kept tow wives in a bigamist relationship. He returned periodically to the United States to see his first wife and two children, and then he returned to Eleanor and their oil survey service in Canada. When the business began to fall apart, they lost too much money for him to continue the bigamist relationship with the two families in the United States and Canada. He and Eleanor began drinking too much and fighting too much. Finally, he sold the business, took the money, abandoned Eleanor and Ted Cruz in Canada without financial support, and returned to the United States as a Canadian citizen. In order for Rafael Cruz to qualify for citizenship, it would have been necessary for Eleanor to become a Canadian citizen as well. It is often argued that there was not enough time for Eleanor and Ted Cruz to complete the typical 5 year time period necessary to become a Canadian citizen. That argument fails to acknowledge how some classes of immigrants were permitted to naturalize as a Canadian citizen in only 1 year and not 5 years. If Eleanor has acquired status as a British subject while she was a resident in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, she could have potentially become a Canadian citizen in only 1 year or by about 1968 to 1970.
Ted Cruz ultimately divorced both wives at the same time and abandoned them both.
There is no publicly available record to indicate Ted Cruz lawfully acquired naturalized citizenship, and his birth abroad with a foreign citizen father in a bigamist marriage disqualifies Ted Cruz for any path whatsoever for natural born citizenship.
