I understand Onyx...but he hasn’t won them if he doesn’t reach the required delegate count...so far he hasn’t. But if he does so before convention then he’s the nominee and there will be no convention.
The process is a three level process as has often been explained on the threads. The difference between Cruz and Trump is Cruz was prepared and working all along should this might go to convention....Trump never had a ground game and certainly chose not to include these delegates which are significant should the first phase of the process not give us a winner....he underestimated Cruz’s ability to compete for the long haul.
The man now at the helm of Trumps campaign is well known as the “fixer” in International Politics as well as Nationally here. Called in when candidates are in trouble of loosing in high stakes elections. ( No doubt Trumps paying him a 7 figure fee.) But he’s been out of the circuit since Ukraine’s elections where he was brought on to assist in keeping Viktor Yanukovych in power.
At any rate...once this moves to convention then you’re dealing with bound and unbound delegates. Cruz’s game and Trumps is a twofold thing....Trump needs them to win the ‘first’ round of voting...if Trump doesn’t win then the ‘second’ round is critical ....(both Cruz and Trump must keep a GOP candidate from slipping in).
Caww,
What you are saying is that it’s OK for
the #2 candidate to steal the #1 candidate’s delegates,
in a state where
winner takes all,
the #1 candidate got all counties except one,
the delegates are bound to the #1 candidate.
Not in my book it ain’t.
