Also, hens are quiet. Roosters are the noisy ones.

Unless you are breeding foul, there is no reason to keep roosters.

Dad had a rooster that the whole family was terrified of.

He’d attack them all when they dared to walk out into the yard.

I always had my Dobes with me and he would just stand off in the corner, glaring at me and muttering to himself.

Never touched me.

I always assume one needs a Rooster among Hens. I miss my chickens. Growing up we raised Chickens and among them were a few Roosters. I always feared our big fat Rooster. He would attack anyone in the backyard. So to even go out and play I would take a stick with me for protection.
