9 Observations and Outcomes from the Wisconsin Waterloo
Conservative Review ^ | 4-6-2016 | Daniel Horowitz

This race began with 17 candidates, but because of the unprecedented coverage of Donald Trump it really has been a one-man race for most of the election. There has been a false choice between whether people love Trump or hate him – just by virtue of the media coverage alone. Given the divided field and the lack of coverage, Ted Cruz lacked the ability to stand out and coalesce people behind a positive conservative, anti-establishment message.

Tonight’s sweeping victory in Wisconsin proves team Cruz’s original thesis: as long as this is a two-man race and as long as Cruz can get his message out, Trump can be defeated in almost every state. In many ways, this could be the Waterloo of the election.

Here are some observations and outcomes from this race:

seems the meme memo went out.

Cruz is another McCain. just look at his rallies.

They are as small as bill Clintons.

“2 more weeks of this crapola until Trump squashes Ted in NY.”

A state that has not produced a GOP win in a general election since Reagan.

There is some substance in the ether causing people to hallucinate.

I think from here on out, until the conclusion of the GOP convention, all analysis has become irrelevant. Anyone with an opinion is merely reflecting their own mindset and prejudices. Everyone sees what they want to see. They choose to believe whatever best reflects the outcome they desire. There’s no shortage of speculation and predictions. I remain unconvinced of it all.

Let me see if I understand.

Hillary loses to Sanders by 13.4 % and all is well. Sanders gets 56% of the vote.

Trump loses to Cruz by 13.1% and Trump is finished. Cruz gets 48% of the vote.

Does that about summarize it?

Ted Cruz usually does better than the polls say, just as he did in Wisconsin.

I think that will happen in NY, especially after Gov. Cuomo took a chunk out of the Second Amendment in NY.

Gun Owners of America endorsed TED CRUZ, but Donald Trump was AGAINST the Second Amendment before he was for it.

In fact, I think if enough pro-Second Amendment NYers put above statement in a letter to the editor, it would make a HUGE difference.

Any NYers here?

WELCOME to the forum, and pay no attention to the Trump supporters, as many of them have no mind of their own, and feel compelled to take on Trump’s bad manners.

Besides, they’re just mad because Trump gave tens of thousand of dollars to lib Dems like Hillary Clinton, Spitzer, King Andrew Cuomo, and MORE!
