Trump’s numbers are improving
He just needs to leave retweeting to teen girls
I guess the Trumper thumpers will flip and quit trashing NR with this piece.
Is this like that ARG poll that showed Trump leading in Wisconsin?
Seriously, it is interesting. But it needs to be verified with more data.
What Democrats and even some Republicans don’t understand is that many of us will never support Hillary because of her extreme support for abortion.
“While all the talk of Donald Trump losing support among women is the stuff that makes the RNC all warm and fuzzy so they can push their narrative that Trump cant beat Hillary Clinton, the truth as reported in a new survey commissioned by National Review shows that women dont support her either, but when pressed to choose between them, support Trump 39/36%.”
That is an incredibly misleading representation of the polling data. The actual data says women who are “undecided” and who are “unfavorable to both”, when forced to choose, choose Trump 39/36%. It is misleading because it doesn’t say anything about those who are ‘decided’. The 39/36% is of only a small fraction of the public.
While 60% of the “undecided” and “unfavorable to both” are women, only 30% of the population is “unfavorable to both”.
Applying the math, our of every 100 people, only 18 are both women and who are unfavorable to both. This poll says Trump would win 7 of them and Hillary would win 6.5. Wow, Trump would pick up 0.5% of the population.
How about some data on the women who are ‘decided’? What percentage supports Trump and Clinton?
I remember back when the media raged over Reagan’s “gender gap” even though his female support was greater than Carter’s, just not as much greater as was his male support.
Women as a group can be very hard on a female candidate, at times. Give them a reason to dislike her as a woman, and it falls apart from there. Hillary Clinton doesn’t inspire much to me other than disdain, and I’m male, so I couldn’t say whether or not she’s reached this level. She is where she is due to name recognition more than anything else, imho.
He’s had this woman’s vote since day one.
Haven’t we moved into an environment where “unfavorability ratings” don’t correlate with lost votes?
When all the candidates are despicable, and the campaigns are mostly divisive and negative, many voters will vote for the lesser of the evils that best suits their narrow or venal motives. Voting for candidates I admire, trust, or even regard favorably is a luxury I have rarely enjoyed.
