Note to GOPe:
If Trump goes to Cleveland over the 1,237 mark and you install Romney as the candidate, the following will take place.
1. Trump will accept the nomination of another party that already has 50 state ballot access.
2. Trump will win the general election.
3. Trump voters will vote against each and every single down ticket Republican, and you will become the Whigs.
4. The newly empowered party that chooses Trump will overtake the GOP in congressional seats.
5. You (GOP) will lose all of your power and perks. Many of you will be investigated.
We dare you.
2. Trump will win the general election.
Har har har. Har.
It would be basically a replay of 1992, though Hillary would likely win by an even larger margin than did her husband because of the greater number of minority voters.
4. The newly empowered party that chooses Trump will overtake the GOP in congressional seats.
To the extent Trump has a platform that isn't just his personality, it isn't enough on which to base a party. So no, this won't happen either.
We dare you.
Right back at ya. Trump certainly has the ability to sink the GOP's Presidential hopes in this election. Beyond that, he's a flash in the pan, and your Trump coalition will fall about faster than a ten dollar suit when he's gone.
Not to mention call em up now, tell em those points.
