You are correct on some of these (I think you may have taken a bit of credit that wasn't deserved on the others).

Let's try to not lose that credibility by posting unsubstantiated rumor as fact and getting into flame wars that are worthy of 12 year old caffeine jacked gamers.

Treat every rumor with skepticism until there are overwhelming facts to back it up. The same story printed over and over again at on blogs and Twitter is not confirmation of a story.
