Limbaugh Just Got Asked If Cruz Still Has ‘Honest Chance To Win’–Here’s His 3-Word Answer
Western Journalism ^ | March 19, 2016 | Jack Davis

"The party has not lifted a finger to help him..."

Noting that Sen. Ted Cruz has waged a zealous, uphill campaign in the shadow of other candidates the headline writers have focused upon, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh admonished the oddsmakers Friday not to write off the Texan too soon.

Limbaugh was asked by a caller, "Do you think that Cruz still has an honest chance to win?"

"Yeah, I do," Limbaugh said as part of his reply. "I don't think it's anywhere near over yet."

Limbaugh noted that Cruz has been last in media publicity, but has soldiered on with a prodigious fund-raising ability and is a strong second to front-runner Donald Trump.

"Everybody wants you to believe one of two things: It's over, Cruz is not gonna get there, Trump is, and we're gonna go to a contested convention and it's gonna be between (Ohio Gov. John) Kasich and whoever else the establishment can throw up," Limbaugh said. "It still amazes me."

Limbaugh added, "And here, again, nobody's talking about Ted Cruz. And he's there every day, and he's out campaigning. He's going everywhere, and he is in second place despite all of the obstacles that have been put in his way. So I think he can win.

"He is hated by the establishment, and they are the ones that totally ignore him. The party has not lifted a finger to help him, and even now when they are starting to, they make it known that they're not happy to be doing it.

"He is being dwarfed and swamped by unprecedented coverage of Trump, who hasn't had to spend any money to get it. Nobody wants to talk about Ted Cruz. We're told over and over that everybody in the Senate hates him. We're told over and over everybody in Washington hates him. But yet he's in second place and he's won nine states. So you're asking me if I think Ted Cruz can win? Yeah, I do. I don't think it's anywhere near over yet. "

Cruz has no shot, the math isn’t there.

Trump outpolls him something like 6 to 1 in NY and more than 2-1 in Cali.

Cruz will likely take, as he has, the western states but that’s about it. Even a surprise state beyond that here or there doesn’t get him to 1237.

Bravo!!! I have switched to Kuhner, Freepers try his show the water is fine...

I agree, Kuhner's good.

It's nice that his commercial breaks often don't line up with Rush's. For instance, he tends to use up all or most of Rush's four-minute bottom of the hour hard break before breaking himself.

hillary will have standing.

Hopefully, Hillary will be standing at the table to the judge's right after she loses her FBI primary, in which she is reportedly running behind.

Exactly. It is about jobs. Factories packing up and moving to Mexico and China.

Cruz can scream from the hilltops that he is a 'constitutional conservative'...but that doesn't mean crap. This country is losing jobs like crazy as these companies move out.

The DC pundits don't get it, nor do they care. Rush Cruzbaugh and Bill Kristol can sit in their plush houses. Rush earned his but people like Kristol and Lowry make me ill. They don't have a clue.

This is an election cycle like we have never seen before. Social media has done that.

Fox News and other media are finding out they aren't in control anymore...and they don't like it. Heh.

Trump may scream about bringing jobs back to the U.S. but his own clothing line is made overseas.

Trump may scream about getting rid of illegals but he hires them both in his construction business and in his hotels.

Trump is a user. He’s using you right now.

You are naive if you think he will actually do anything but Ted Cruz has a real plan to bring business back to the U.S.

Agreed. Hannity repeats his talking points a bit too much, but I have to admire his honesty. I can’t get over Rush going to the “meeting” with the GOPe. He stammered and lied about that because he got busted. I can’t get over that and his credibility is gone now. And the Pac ad dollars? Outrageous. Interesting that the radio people....Rush, Beck, and Levin are all pushing Cruz. Guess money does talk.

I did read about that. Rush bragged about Rubio’s wonderful speech. Pitiful.

Whine away. Go talk to Bill Kristol, Rich Lowry and the other talking heads. Add Rush and Levin to that list. Raking in those ad dollars while pretending to care about America and the constitution. What a joke.

They are all making a lot of people ashamed of the Republican party. The Republicans have always said the Democrat party is corrupt and will cheat to get what they want.

Well, the elite Republicans are doing the same thing now and probably always have. They are just being exposed. Trying to ignore the voters and the will of the people.

They want to blame Trump for destroying the Republican party? Are you kidding me? These asshats have done NOTHING for the American people for years. As long as they all pat each other on the back, and collect paychecks, they are all fine with that.

Trump disrupts the apple cart for DC...and they are terrified.

hillary or bernie... both would have standing.

and both would have no problem pushing to disqualify their opponent in order to secure ultimate power

Cruz has to really up his game to win it AND Trump has to completely blow his to lose it. But miracles do happen.

He pretty much stated he's in it to the bitter end in hopes of a contested convention - that is turning a lot of folks like me off after what the Cochran crew did to Mississippi.

I fear he will think he has signed deals with the proper devils and will end up being betrayed by them even if he's successful in forcing a contested convention. He may very well be the factor that hands it all to Hillary if he's not very careful about how he talks and goes about it.

Wishful thinking. People like Mrs. Bill. There is an article in the ‘’San Antonio Express-News’’ about her taking TX by teaming up with the Castro twin.

I figured that out when Rush ignored Obama’s eligibility, fake social security numbers, forged birth documents, claims of being born in Kenya on his own autobiography, non-attendance at Columbia...( Just to name a few.)

I am still steamed.

This is the same Limbaugh that was a Jeb Bush supporter.

This is the same Limbaugh that was pushing Rubio.

Now Limbaugh’s latest love is Cruz.

Make no mistake if Jeb, Rubio or even Cruz had Trump’s Delegates and numbers in the polls, then Limbaugh would be saying it’s over.

If Mitt Romeny or Paul Ryan are forced on to us, then Limbaugh will back them up over Trump.

Limbaugh is with the Establishment.

Remember it was Limbaugh that carried W Bushs water for 8 years. It was Limbaugh that said if we elect a Republican congress, then they would stop Obama and Obamacare. We al know what happened.

“Now, will
you erase all doubt of that?”

Well you did it. You are the assclown.

“Rush or the foul mouthed one?”

Greetings_Puny_Humans. The foul mouthed one. How can anyone
think much less assume that Rush is a foul mouthed liberal.

“...In theory he could have got a plurality of New York...”

I don’t think so. NY has *very* consistently polled for Clinton and Sanders, *way* ahead of any GOP challenger, to include trump (trailing Bernie “Brain-Dead” Sanders by a full 10pts).

For this election season, it appears NY will simply not be in the cards for any GOP candidate in the general election.

“Thats not a very good investment now is it.”

it’s a GREAT investment if you financially back both candidates: that way the political “investor” can’t lose. that’s why most of the rich don’t care WHO wins. there’s a reason it’s called the Uniparty.
