I agree. Michio Kaku is probably another. They follow in the footsteps of Carl Sagan as TV celebrity scientists. They are selected for promotion for many reasons. One requirement is that they have the proper (leftist) ideology.

So what's going on here? Many blacks have a problem with Hispanics (mostly all Mexican). They compete for jobs. Perhaps they will compete for white guilt attention and affirmative action. It's not likely that a Hispanic scientist will take Neill's spot soon. He may have relatives, friends or acquaintances, who feel threatened by Hispanic competition.

The Left loves Degrasse-Tyson because he is "proof" that all "real Black people" are nineteenth century European materialists to whom spirituality and supernaturalism are totally alien.

You'd think he had the same attitude towards Trump voters as the people he's criticizing.
