AFAIK, in Texas and probably other States as well, if one votes for a particular party in the primary they can only vote for that party in the general.

Don’t know about Texas, but not true in Tennessee.

In fact, I’d like the code reference for that part of Texas law.

Georgia, the biggest Southern State second to Texas, has no party registration.
