It was a great night for Trump. Congrats!
It was a very good night for Cruz also as he outperformed all polls by wide margins. If it’s a priority for you that trump in not the nominee, stop sending your votes to Rubio and Kasich.
Trump won over a hundred thousand votes more than Cruz and its pretty much a draw...makes sense to me.
Closer to 170,000.
It’s a horse race all right, it’s just that Cruz is riding a slower horse.
An interesting tidbit is that the State of Idaho has a rather large percentage of Mormons. I have not seen that mentioned anywhere.
Also, Crux was projected to likely win Idaho due to its proximity to Canada and he being born in Alberta. So, lots of Mormons and lot of Canadians to vote for Cruz.
“Closer to 170,000.”
Must be that GOPe Common Core math.
Rubio got shellacked. Didn’t win a single delegate.
He should drop out before he looses Florida.
Um. Michigan?
In ID Cruz had a higher percentage of endorsements by Senators, congressmen, St Sen, St Reps, etc than normal .... especially since Rand Paul dropped out. ID tilts libertarian.
The horse race being the 1973 Belmont.
My #1 and my #2 choices are in the lead for the GOP nomination. So I’m happy.
Unfortunately my #1 choice is running behind my #2 choice, but you can’t have everything.
What the heck happened to Idaho? Too many liberals moving into that state.
Idaho also tilts toward the Christian identity movement and skinheads, and white supremacy. Right wing extremists groups abound in Idaho.
Any states with large Mormon populations may lean Cruz in the west.
ID also has a high percentage of Mormons, so I suspect that maybe Romney and crazy Glenn Beck might have some influence there.
“ID also has a high percentage of Mormons, so I suspect that maybe Romney and crazy Glenn Beck might have some influence there.”
You’re right.
Idaho is a sure thing in the general. So far Cruz has proven he can win in states we will take anyway.
I’m thinking Churchill Downs.
