Not our problem.

Mexico is our neighbor. But as they say, good fences make good neighbors.

They have issues which they should have dealt with on their own long ago. They aren't for us to solve.

It is our problem because all the shit on their side of the border is filtering into this country.

Build a border fence, arm it heavily with shoot to kill orders for “ANYONE” coming across.

It's our drug demand that drives the cartels.

I agree. Immediately after the Mexican War, a wall should have been built.

“They have issues which they should have dealt with on their own long ago. They aren’t for us to solve.”

I agree with your statement, as long as the fences are there and the border is enforced.

But on the other side of the coin, if the public supported Bush going to war with Iraq without any physical evidence of WMD’s, then certainly, a much better case could be made for going to war with Mexico to stop the current invasion.

The idea of taking over these countries is to give the people better governments and in the long run enhance our own security. If that is a fact, then flushing Mexico of it’s cartels and crappy government would benefit the Mexican citizen as well as the US.
