Given Carson’s past rhetoric, its not hard to see that his supporters could swing towards Cruz.
Yeah, especially the part of Carson’s rhetoric about hating lying politicians. I imagine all of Carson’s supporters will stampede to the career politician and former Bush admin official in the race after Carson made is so clear how little he thinks of politicians.
In reality, I think Carson’s supporters will divide pretty evenly between the front runner, the preacher and the cute cabana boy.
Expecting Carson supporters to go to Cruz is delusional. Cruz is one of the primary reasons Carson is now suspending his campaign. It would be hilarious if we saw him on the trail with Trump. But I wouldn’t wish that on all the Cruz supporters whose heads would explode.
