I am, says Erick Erickson, and he's not alone. One of the chief coping mechanisms from righties on social media this weekend upon surveying the destruction in South Carolina was to swear they'll never be a Trumpist, even if the heavens fall. I believe Erickson, but I'd also bet cash money that 90 percent of the people saying "HELL NO NEVER HAPPEN" today will grudgingly come around over the next eight months upon being reminded, not on a daily but on an hourly basis, that Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar who'd be in prison if not for her status as the creme de la creme of Washington's elites.

I'm not saying conservative revulsion at Trump isn't real. It is, and I think when it all shakes out in November that Trump will have seen more Republicans stay home for him than stayed home for either Romney or McCain. But I don't think there'll be a third party and I also don't think that some sliver of conservatives staying home will doom Trump's candidacy. Given Hillary's weakness and his own appeal to independents and Reagan Democrats, it's possible that he'd find the votes he needs to win in the center. That would be the final indignity to the conservative movement after having its impotence laid bare for more than a year -- staging a mass boycott of Trump on election day and discovering that Trump can win anyway...

using ancient Trump quotes as a way the Dems can bring Trump down isn't going to work and I doubt that Hillary or Bernie, or whomever, would run something that simplistic. The Dems are far more likely to run what he says about deporting ILLEGAL ALIENS and having a moratorium on allowing Muslims into America. Oh and don't forget his PRO-Second Amendment avows.

For decades now, America has been incrementally dismantled by Socialists/Communists/Democrats who have lived by the maxim that the issue is not the issue. The Revolution is the issue.

Arguing issues with these people is pointless.

Donald Trump has done something in this election cycle that no one has been able to do since 1980. He has set the Legacy Media back on their collective heels, knocked them off balance and given "Teflon Don" a whole new meaning.

He has waffled on issues.
Nobody cares.
He has said whatever comes into his head.
Nobody cares.
He has been rude, abrasive and countered every rule of "electability" that has been iterated by those who really don't give a damn whether anyone from our side is electable or not.
And all he's done so far is win.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.
The issue is no longer our "Conservative issues" but rather the dismantling of the uniparty. It's a counter revolution.

Talk about "electability" just debases the conversation to the level of a Sunday Morning Talking Head.

Trump is not "ideologically pure."

Trump has a checkered past.

Trump is a mortal man with feet of clay - Just like us.

This election is not about purity or advancing a Conservative Agenda.
It's about saving the nation from a Socialist/Communist Coup.

We are at war. And desperate times call for drastic measures -

You need to listen to Donald Jr townhall in Elko NV yesterday.
You will KNOW there is a great difference between Trump and Romney. Trump is conservative. He will shrink govt He’s rabidly pro 2nd amendment. Washington DC is scared to death of him because he is wise to their charades.
We have a once in a lifetime opportunity with Trump. I pray to God we don’t blow it.

I see two scenarios if the nominees are Trump and Clinton:

1. Very low overall voter turnout because there will large segments of both parties that feel abandoned by their party.

2. The general election will determined by which nominee instills the less fear. I suspect the general election will be the dirtiest and most corrupt election in many years.

People can also be judged by the way they raise their children. I had no special reason to watch this other than reading some comments about it.

This young man is very impressive. He actually did a far better job of explaining the issues and where they as a family stand, especially the 2nd.
