We both know it takes an obscene amount of money to run for the Presidency. We also know that Trump had the advantage of a very rich and successful father who gave him a running start to his greater riches. I don’t hold that against him. But how does the son of a penniless immigrant like Cruz get his shot at the brass ring without the help and finance of others?

If Trump’s approach is to be the new standard for running for national office, we are limiting the field of future political aspirants to the super-rich.

While I don’t agree with him politically, Bernie Sanders is the perfect example of how a politician should be funded. By the people. He has no Super PAC and the smallest donations and largest donor base of any candidate. That’s how everyone should operate. Cruz has LARGE Donors and a SUPER PAC! Those two things= Corruption! No questions asked and you know it too. The only way candidates should be funded is like Bernie Sanders (by the people) or Self-Funded like Trump. Everyone else is bought and paid for and everyone knows it!
