If Cruz needs continuous hand-holding and other men to rush in and “protect him”, then perhaps he can avoid the general election beat-down when the Democrats and the media will say far worse, and wont give a damn what DeMint, Hannity, Rush, Levin, RedState and Beck say.
Or do you guys think the general public is gonna feel sorry for him and vote for him out of “pity”?

If Cruz is such a conservative, then why haven't his conservative colleagues come out and supported him? Where are the other conservative Senators who have good things to say about him?
In the last 48 hours, both Coburn and DeMint have come out to defend him and now the attacks are:

I can’t help but picture a little boy who needs the big kids to come and defend him. Not exactly creating a vision of strength. As I’ve said before, I don’t believe there is a world leader currently, who would fear Cruz.
How many public people have stepped up to talk up Trump? None that I can think of - guess he can handle it all on his own.
It’s going to be difficult to watch Cruz get buried when the others drop out and the focus is on him. As bad as some of his supporters think it is here on this forum, they haven’t seen nothing yet - he will be painted into a corner.
