With a public official, the autopsy should be automatic. The squealing about it should raise flags.
I am not trying to be argumentative, but trying to think this through.
What difference would an autopsy make? The worst case: He was murdered.
Then what. Unless Obama personally murdered him (unlikely) it makes no difference to the process.
Sure, politically it would be an outrage. But that doesn’t change the fact that Obama can nominate and the Senate does not have to consent.
Nothing changes. He is still dead. The process continues to move around. The sun comes up tomorrow.

If you feel that way, write to your congressman and ask him to write up a bill that would make it legal.
