So was Trump for WMD in Iraq Before He was Against It?
Flopping Aces ^ | 2/15/16 | Wordsworth

Trump has exaggerated his supposed opposition to OIF. PolitiFact:

Again, Trump said he was against the war from the very beginning.

"I'm the only one on this stage that said, 'Do not go into Iraq. Do not attack Iraq,' " Trump said. "Nobody else on this stage said that. And I said it loud and strong. And I was in the private sector. I wasn't a politician, fortunately. But I said it, and I said it loud and clear, 'You'll destabilize the Middle East.' "

Trump often repeats this line, and we've rated a similar Trump claim Mostly False, because he didn't appear to take any public position on the war until after the March 2003 invasion. In this more recent version of the statement, he also said he stated his opposition to the war "loud and clear." But the public record of his positions is thin.

Trump's public opposition to OIF only seems to have started in 2004. Before that, would a President Trump have "lied us into war"?

Do you ever recall a thread on FR specifically about the weird motives of the Bush administration in not defending themselves, or why the convoys of trucks going into Syria never seemed to be a big deal to them?

Poland had the unique misfortune of their troops stumbling into sarin ampules.
These were small bottles designed to be thrown by hand.
They also found french SAMs with 2003 manufacturing date.
(The froggies had “advisors” in Iraq in 2003, shredding documents big time. Gee, wonder why.)

Can’t find it now, but there was one of the few green band artillery shells located as well.
(Saddam had a policy of not marking his chemical shells. The sarin ied was an unmarked she’ll binary mix in flight of a type iraq did not possess prior to 1995.)

Yeah, the french were trading weapons for oil.
Iraq also had some British pols on their payroll.
Some of the documents that didn’t get shredded mentioned them.

I guess then your question becomes...do gullible conservatives fall for faux conservative or non-conservative candidates...

Both usually.

I assume your statement was a shot against Trump.

This election isn't about intellectual constitutionalism or the candidate that has a new refreshing and heady idea to frame entitlement reform.

It's no longer about an innovative way to frame the argument for tax reform to gain a few percentage points of support in opinion polls.

None of that crap matters any longer.

This election is about stopping a foreign invasion of tens of millions of foreigners from the Third World that do not care about America's best interests.

We're winning the intellectual argument when it comes to policy. We really are. But......................

That no longer matters.

The Democrats have changed the electorate. There are millions of third world voters from backwards cultures voting for Democrats.

We're not being out-debated........we're being out-VOTED.

Trump’s point was that Bush lied about WMDs in Iraq.

Apparently, you agree.

They were there, and the Bush administration said they were not there.

“The people of Iraq? The horror of Saddam has been replaced by the horror of civil war, ISIS, and an entirely uncertain future.”

And who has been our President for 7, going on 8, years?

Also, lets not forget that Bill Clinton also sought regime change in Iraq and a military tribunal to try Saddam Hussein. He had the same goals as GW Bush, but did not succeed.

Uh, no.
The claim was that there weren’t “any” WMD.
There was.

Dunno what happened.
Honestly wasn’t paying attention to that.
Most likely some humorless turds whined about them.
Pookie will have to clue us in on that.
