When one becomes amyor of anywhere.....the apparatus is already in place, and functions on it’s own. There really isn’t a whole lot of work required to keep your hand on the tiller and steer it. If you don’t rock the boat, you can do 8 years and come out smelling like a rose.
Were Burlington, Detroit in crisis, I doubt that Bernie had the skills necessary to stop the ship from sinking.
In this case, I disagee. I’ve been visiting Burlington on a regular basis since 1979 and definitely saw the changes for the better during Bernie’s tenure. It’s a far different place than it was back then.
Again, I don’t support him for POTUS, but he did okay as mayor. My point is that the article didn’t even mention that, which detracted from its credibility.
