It seems to me as if your statement above answers the subsequent question. It is most of the GOP. There may be people agreeing with Ted, but if they come forward, their chances for committee assignments or getting legislation moved forward are nil. The leadership has taken a dim view of all things reformative.

So you are saying they are all cowards and the leadership has them cowed and complicit.

But a lot of the stuff they pass which benefits particular people would be awfully difficult for which to get an override. Then of course, there are the "let's make a deal" people, who will go ask a President Cruz what they could get from him in return for what they could give. I don't think business would continue as usual. I think we would see some movement on reforming the system.

The Dems will probably regain control of the Senate in 2017. And regardless, the Reps will do not and will not have a filibuster proof majority, i.e. 60 votes. Nothing will be done without deals and compromise.

I think ANY Republican candidate will beat either Hillary or Bernie.

On that you would be wrong. Romney won the white vote 59-39 and the Independent vote by 10, received one million more votes than McCain and still lost to Obama by 5 million votes despite Obama receiving 3.5 million votes less in 2012 than he received in 2008. Demography is destiny.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "Yes." I've been watching his ground game, and it's pretty strong. I would be more certain of this were it not for the fact that South Carolina is an open primary, but I am going to predict a Cruz win, though the polls say otherwise.

I live here and believe Trump will win easily. We will see on Saturday who is right. My family and I will be voting Trump.

Why on earth would a state let Democrats vote in a Primary? Isn't that contrary to the entire concept of a Primary?

I doubt that there will be many crossover votes given the intensity of the Dem race and the fact that the primaries are held on different dates. The Rep primary is the 20th and the Dem primary is the 27th. You can't vote in both.

I guess the rationale is that independents have the option of voting in one or the other and that getting them engaged is better than excluding them. It is more representative of the general election. There are pros and cons. Regardless, there will be a primary in SC.

I am at a loss for a better explanation. Something must explain why they keep confirming Obama's nominations without a fight. Something must explain why they keep enacting Obama's agenda without a fight.

If it isn't some form of cowardice, what is it? That they were lying to us about what they believed?

The Dems will probably regain control of the Senate in 2017.

After what the Republicans have failed to do, we should care if the Democrats take it back?

And regardless, the Reps will do not and will not have a filibuster proof majority, i.e. 60 votes. Nothing will be done without deals and compromise.

When it comes to stopping the money spigot, compromise isn't necessary. The problem with government now is that there has been far too many "deals" and far too much "compromise."

Anything which gums it up to a slog is an improvement.

I live here and believe Trump will win easily. We will see on Saturday who is right. My family and I will be voting Trump.

You may be right, but that is an easy prediction to make at this point. Trump is definitely a tougher candidate than anyone would have bargained for. He is sort of an anomaly for which people had no plan for dealing.

If Trump gets the nomination, he will win the General in probably the biggest blow out election in History.

But he won't make the Federal Judiciary any better, he will just make it worse.
