Nothing odd, he's rocked the boat and attempted to tip over their gravy trains. The party establishment hates him because he intends to disrupt business as usual.
He is trying to force the government back to fiscal sanity, but nobody like a party pooper. They enjoy the perks of wielding great financial power over the government's money. They enjoy doling it out to this or that group or contributor.
There are probably some senators that agree with him, but they don't dare say so in earshot of the leadership or it's cronies.
Which is exactly what Sarah Palin did in Alaska to clean up the whole system; and she did well, and stepped on many toes on both sides of the aisle. It’s unbelievable how gullible so many FReepers are this election cycle :/
Rationalization. Cruz is a grandstanding gadfly who is a pariah among his colleagues. They don't appreciate being characterized as being part of the Washington Cartel. Only Saint Ted is above reproach and without sin. Cruz is a phony and a fraud. He has spent most of his working life in government. He is an insider who wants to end run the system and go to the WH as a first term senator. Senators make lousy Presidents and Obama is a prime example.
How will Cruz work with the Washington cartel if he gets in the WH?
