Cruz continues to gather all the right enemies.
One thing I learned in a class on logic was that if someone is reliably wrong, that can be as useful as if they are reliably right (assuming the logic is binary). Sometimes I use that in elections. My liberal newspaper knows local candidates better than I. So if they endorse someone, I don’t vote for that person.
People on the left live for politics. Government (referred to as “We”) is always the solution. When they really “like” someone, vote against that person. When they really “hate” that person, vote for him.
Technically, the “argument from authority” is a fallacy. So an argument from anti-authority is too. Yes, it is the evidence that counts. But leftists do have a pronounced sense of smell when it comes to ideology. As you might trust a bomb-sniffing dog to get it right, you can trust leftists to get it wrong.
By the way, ACU lifetime ratings:
Cruz - 100%
Rubio - 97%
Trump - no rating
Very good comments.
This is why Democrats NEVER nominate a Supreme Court justice who EVER votes against their leftist views. The reason Republicans fail is because they haven't all taken the time to UNDERSTAND the leftist and the conservative philosophy and officially signed onto the conservative philosophy. And we see that mistake taking its latest form in the elevation of Trump. Trump isn't a conservative, doesn't understand the movement and is being backed by people who value the movement so little that they'll throw it in the trash just because a flashy celebrity lets some colorful insults fly from the podium. We cannot defeat leftists unless we build and maintain a movement that is defined by ISSUES, not by personalities.
On the Democrat side, they are in the process of abandoning their name brand celebrity candidate Clinton in favor of someone who actually passionately believes in the issues they care about. If they nominate Sanders and we nominate Trump, we will lose in a landslide. Passion for a philosophy is a much stronger and more potent force than infatuation with an individual, which inevitably evaporates as that person proves to be less than godlike.
