Never mind that a large part of the reason for the Iraq war was the same as the excuses for the war on Libya...and never mind that Trump's assertion that the mideast was "stable" with Saddam in power is pure fantasy - Saddam was a Sunni running a minority Sunni regime in a majority Shiite country by murdering thousands of his own people every year to keep them terrorized into submission - he had managed to best Shiite Iran in two wars previously with the help of the US, but we were not going to help him again after his excursion into Kuwait and his repeated defiance of the peace agreement ending that war - his military was badly demoralized and degraded after that war - remember the "Highway of Death" back into Baghdad from Kuwait and the pictures of thousands of burned out trucks and civilian vehicles along the way - there seems little doubt that had we not gone into Iraq, by now it would have been overrun by Iran several years ago, Saddam deposed, and Iran in control of its population, oil, and the 500 tons of yellowcake uranium Saddam had amassed on his way to nukes - the real chance for stability in the region came with our remaining strong there, but Obama threw that away....

I have a problem with a political candidate telling me “I’m capable of changing into anything I want to be.” And when you look at his record, he’d never had any conservative principles or expressed conservative views on issues until he started asking us for our votes.

I’m still looking for a candidate—and at one time was strongly considering Trump—but lately I’ve begun to see him as someone who is simply feeding his ego and is conning all us Chumps for Trump.

People want to forget this,but Bush didn’t do much of a job caring for our military and vets. Over use of the guard was bad enough...does anyone remember how bad the facilities at forts were when they came home?

Army Shamed By Shoddy Barracks
The Army was publicly shamed after an outraged parent posted photos on Youtube depicting dilapidated conditions at the barracks of Fort Bragg. Bush/Cheney were much more concerned with building state of the art immigration detention centers for illegal aliens.
