The biggest Bush failures were ignoring the intelligence that could have prepared the US for a terror attack, and not having a plan plan to “win the peace”. I like W in many ways, but he and his neocons really screwed this up, and everyone knows it. If he’d continued living a private life, Trump never would have raised the issue, but by supporting Jeb! he becomes fair game.

As one of those who evidently profits from such screeds, C. Edmund probably smells opportunity - with the rise of Trump will come a market for Trump-bashers and Trump-hate, at least until their last shreds of credibility are gone.

Bush doubled the debt from $5 trillion to $10 trillion, expanded Medicare with the prescription drug program, lost GOP control of Congress, signed McCain-Feingold, and paved the way for Obama. He was a lousy President and no Conservative.
