Tommy Chong: “I Love Donald Trump. He Personifies the Republican Party.”
Marijuana Politics ^ | February 14, 2016 | Russ Belville

I got the chance to sit down with cannabis legend Tommy Chong at the International Cannabis Business Conference in San Francisco. Chong, 77, is parlaying his cannabis celebrity into a new brand, Chong's Choice, as well as co-hosting a podcast with his son, Paris, to be hosted on CannabisRadio.com.

I asked Tommy about the state of marijuana and politics, beginning with the Republicans. "I love Donald Trump," Chong told me, "he personifies everything the Republican Party is about." When asked about the unexpectedly exciting battle between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side, Chong replied, "We've only got Bernie." We also discussed the upcoming battle to legalize marijuana in California, with Chong lending his support to any form of legalization that makes the ballot.

Enjoy this first portion of our twenty-minute interview with Tommy Chong - we'll have more parts uploaded shortly.

I have read that it is tantamount to a museum.

No idea if he lets people “tour” it or not.

The only thing I could find was his touring Chicano Art collection

Years ago, I read an article with examples of his Aztec/Mayan stuff featured.

My russian goes just far enough to work on my Tokarev pistol and Mosin Nagant rifle. I just happened to remember a a publication called “noviya rossiya”, which translates to “The new Russia”.

Another ( I’ll be kind ) Misleading article title from the CRuzBoy Cult. Chong is anti-Trump, he is a bernie supporter.

Of course Chong is against Trump. It was obvious to me just reading the headline that he was beside himself in glee over how perfectly Trump plays the exact caricature of Republican and conservatives that the left has long held up as "accurate description" while mocking and jeering the same image.

Which leaves it to be that there was nothing all that much misleading about this thread's title, even though judging from a few of the comments, a small number of those who have responded didn't seem to understand what it really meant.

Most did though, so perhaps not all hope is lost.

The question remains; why select the perfect Pinata (Trump) when we already have a guy (had a guy, long prior to Trump coming along and jumping into running for political office) who the left have loved to hate, but is a bit more difficult to make int the same exact "cheap and easy" kind of pitifully easy-to-bash-as-all-that-is-wrong-about "Republicans" pinata out of ----when the guy (Trump) isn't even a real Republican in the first place!

The RINO's (Republican in name only, for those of you in Rio Linda) that have long been despised on this forum are generally more for real than Trump is (regardless of what he's running around telling everybody now).

And here you are, the freeper known as "heights" who never has much to say about a damn thing other than to damn Cruz (if not damning his supporters).

You sound just like the typical Democrat when you talk about Cruz. Like Tommy Chong, they LIKE the idea of Trump being the GOP presidential election nominee.

Yeah, Trump's the guy all right, the one that the Hildabeast in comparison to, could well fool just enough people to win the election not for himself, The Donald, but for even the otherwise widely despised; her erness the Hildabeast.

So I made it up?

No but the relevance is nil - especially since Chong referred to Trump as "typical republican" and he backs Bernie/Hillary.

Just trying to keep it real - Cruz got hundreds from me and I won't slam him or Trump - just those on either side of that particular aisle if they stretch to slam one or the other. I find it ironic that we slam our "representatives" for not getting it together while we can't get it together ourselves. In many ways, FR serves as an example as to why we keep getting the dirty end of the stick in politics.

Here's hoping the weasels in DC can stop Obama from replacing Scalia - it would be a start.
