Doesn’t titling a post “vanity” get the job done?
I agree that there are plenty of vanities, but I don’t see where that can irk or harm any Freeper. There’s lots of religious threads, science, support troops and other types of threads.
Not your cup of tea? Don’t click on them and your problem will be solved.
Some vanities aren’t even worthy of a comment on an existing thread. This is not a chat room.
Some people just need to draw attention to themselves and their conceited nature.
I, on the other hand, can’t wait until tomorrow because I get better looking every day...

Maybe all posting of articles/threads needs to go thru a monitor before the actual posting.

If you review posted threads on the ‘articles’ page it gives you the source, etc.

I dislike the name “vanity” used to differentiate itself in a pejorative way from Big Respectable Media articles. The latter are far less reliable and far more dangerous to be given the weight they are given here.
I totally agree. People truly are vain to post some of these one-line spews.

I have long felt that vanity posts should be deleted immediately.
