Mt nephew is getting his Eagle Scout and I was wondering what is a good gift for him. He worked really hard and would like to give him a fitting gift.
yes. My sister really stressed safety with my neice and nephew. He worked his ass off for this.
A goodly sum of money to get what he would like. Make it
enough to indicate that you are aware of how hard he has
worked.
(I could not choose what to give him, and I would be
hesitant to give a tomahawk or something similar because if
he did get hurt with my gift, I’d never get over it.)
A good pocket knife. the boy is smart and has common sense. rare in young people these days
Boy Scout limited edition of the Henry 22 rifle.
Congratulations!
My son made Eagle. The troop gave the Eagle Scouts a large framed felt picture with their particular badges pinned to it.
I think we took him out to dinner. ;-)
Humble isn’t keeping Lazmataz in his shed is he? I’ve
heard somewhere that Laz is a midget; but I don’t know!
:o)
Was thinking about giving him my 10/22 and all the mags. It was the first rifle I ever owned and would be a nice hand me down.
That’s even better. I treasure the Savage 22 rifle that my father had as a young man and later gave to me.
Get him a Henry Eagle Scout commemerative rifle. It will stay with him for a lifetime and can be passed on to heirs.
A really high-quality back pack.
Wow, nice rifle!
I let my son get a driver’s license when he got his eagle ;-) part of the deal.
Quite frankly, your comment is rude and out of place on this thread. Disagreeing with the BSA policy change is perfectly fine on a thread discussing that. Many, including myself would strongly agree with you there. Attacking this young man, his hard work, and achievement is entirely unnecessary. You know nothing about him, his family, or his troop.
I did not attack the young man.
If I asked you when you earned your Rump Ranger Badge, and how you have it displayed, would you consider that an attack?
I’d tell you I didn’t. No big deal.
There isn’t a rump badge yet...
Congratulations to your nephew. Such a hard-won honor. Give him a wonderful gift, but most especially give him the respect, honor and love he deserves from his whole family. He will cherish it the most.
It was a well-used SUV for my son when he got his Eagle in 1998.
He bought me the Philmont Edition of the Henry rifle for Christmas as this year marked 20 years since we had done our trek together. He returned to Philmont twice without me.
What did he do for his Eagle Scout Project?
A 22 rifle is exactly what I was thinking. The perfect gift for a responsible young man.
